There are a lot of reasons for using WordPress, but the most important is the fact that it’s easy for website owners to operate. When I install it for my clients, they actually want to update their sites now – they’re excited about what they can do on the web and the fact that they can do it themselves!
But I don’t just recommend WordPress, I’m a user too. This site is running WordPress, for example.
The biggest misconception about WordPress is that it’s only for blogging. In fact, WordPress can be a content management system for any website: brochure, membership, ecommerce, portfolio or whatever site you can think of. That’s one of the things I stress in my beginner’s book about WordPress.
But what if you already have a website – is it possible to keep what you’ve got now and convert it to WordPress? Sure. And here’s a video to show you why it makes sense to convert to WordPress. Oh by the way, my company does conversions… nudge, nudge.
