Which theme should I use? In all my years of helping people learn to use WordPress, that’s the most common question I hear. I used to think it was one of the easiest to answer, but over the last couple of years it’s become one of the hardest, because there’s been an explosion of choices and a real divergence of directions.

In this talk I want to look at what exactly a theme is, why choosing a theme has become so difficult, and some ways for you to hack your way through the theme jungle – sometimes literally.
