You have WP 3-2
if your admin screen looks like this:
Installing and using Yahoo Web Player

While this isn’t a plugin, the Yahoo Web Player is an easy to use media player you can use with WordPress in place of a plugin. It automatically detects links to media files, such as MP3 or YouTube files, and inserts a play button next to the link and a slide-out player at the bottom of the page. Installation is simple – a line of javascript – and you’ll learn about two ways to do it in WordPress.

  4. I do not think I am inserting the mp3 link correctly. Where did you go off screen to copy the mp3? is it a url or html? Thank you

  5. Hi Tom! It’s a URL you want, either to a file on another site or to one you’ve loaded onto your own server.

If you’re hosting it, then just upload it into your media library in WordPress and copy the file’s URL. In any case, the URL must end with .mp3 in order for the Yahoo Player to recognize it.

And of course, if you’re using an MP3 from someone else’s site, make sure you have permission to do so :-)
